Hi, I'm Erin

As entrepreneurs, we tend to be big dreamers who want to turn our every idea into a business or a way of helping others. It’s something I’ve done for years. I learn something new and immediately want to share it. I gain a skill and start imagining ways to monetize it.

But as a mother, my children have taught me so many beautiful lessons. One of the greatest being to simply do something because it is joyful.

To admire a tree and try to climb it. (Or befriend it, as my sweet Lucy has done.)
To paint and sketch just to simply toss it away.
To bake and read and write and dance and splash in puddles, just for the experience.

Recently, I purchased a small pocket sketchbook and have been doodling in it whenever I happen to have a few free minutes and hands (which is usually a mere 15 minutes a day these days) and this has brought me such simple joy. I plan to do absolutely nothing with these sketches, and yet I so look forward to any chance I get to spend time with this little book.

There’s something freeing about creating without expectation. Without needing it to lead to a product, a post, or a profit. It reconnects us to the heart of why we create in the first place. One of my favorite books, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, speaks beautifully to this idea.

There is a place for creating to monetize and creating just to create. If you are in a season of life or motherhood where you feel called to create with no expectations, that is such a beautiful thing. I believe motherhood does not take away from our capacity to create but actually enhances it. Though sometimes the energy of creating to monetize can feel too heavy when you are in the midst of certain seasons of motherhood, and I’ve felt that too.

But if you’re in a season where your creativity is calling you toward something you want to share or grow into a source of income, I have a few ways to support you.

You can explore my Free Resources page for tools and trainings to help you bring your ideas to life, or book a free support call to chat about how to align your creative energy with a business that fits your season of motherhood.

No matter where you are right now, creating for joy or creating for growth, keep going.
